Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-06

Readpodcast AI collects only the information needed to provide, secure, and improve our service at readpodcast.ai (the "Service"). This Policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account and support information. Your email address, profile details, verification status, and any information you choose to provide when contacting support.
  • Service activity. Information about how you use and interact with the Service, including feature usage and account activity.
  • Technical and security data. IP address, device and browser information, language preference, timestamps, and limited identifiers used to operate, secure, and protect the Service from abuse.
  • Billing information. Payments are handled by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers; we receive customer and subscription identifiers and related invoice information.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service and its features.
  • To manage accounts, subscriptions, payments, invitations, and essential communications and, where permitted, optional content recommendations.
  • To protect the Service, prevent abuse and fraud, and respond to support requests.
  • To understand product usage and improve the Service.

Where required by law, we rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and securing and improving the Service, or your consent.

3. How We Share Information

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, such as providers for authentication, payments, hosting, AI processing, analytics, email, security, and customer support. They receive only the information needed to perform their services. We do not sell your personal information.

Cloudflare Turnstile. We use Cloudflare Turnstile on sign-in and sign-up forms to help prevent abuse. It processes IP addresses and browser signals as described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

4. AI Processing

Some features use third-party AI providers to process your inputs and generate outputs such as transcripts, insights and chat responses. Each provider receives only the information needed to provide those features.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, support referral and customer-support features, and understand product usage. Non-essential cookies, including analytics cookies, are used only with consent where required by law. Functional cookies used for referral and support features expire within 90 days. We do not use cookies for advertising. You can manage cookies through your browser, although some features may not work without them.

6. Optional Credit Reminders

Near the end of a Free monthly credit period, we may send an optional reminder when you have used credits for one or two episode transcriptions and still have enough expiring credits for another. The reminder may include untranscribed episodes from podcast shows you previously unlocked. These messages include an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future credit reminders and does not stop essential account, security, billing, or requested product-completion messages. We retain your opt-out choice so we can honor it in the future.

7. Data Retention

  • Account information: while your account exists and for up to 30 days after deletion.
  • Conversations and support records: up to 12 months.
  • Security and referral data: generally up to 31 days. Limited pseudonymous audit records may be kept longer when needed to prevent abuse or resolve disputes.
  • First-party product-analytics events: up to 90 days. Masked network, live-session, and checkout diagnostic signals: up to 14 days.
  • Billing records: as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.

8. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data protection authority. You can delete your account from your account settings or contact us at support@readpodcast.ai. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, tax or legal compliance.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact support@readpodcast.ai and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for international transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify account holders of material changes by email and post the updated version on this page.

12. Contact

For privacy questions, data requests or complaints, contact us at support@readpodcast.ai.

13. Governing Language

This Privacy Policy may be translated for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version will prevail, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
